Munich's top employers revealed

Grab your resumes and lean in because LinkedIn just rolled out its list of the best places to work in Germany for 2024, and guess what? Some of our very own Munich-based companies are basking in the spotlight.
This list isn’t about who’s got the best coffee (though we reckon that’s important too). It's about who’s going the extra mile to push their teams forward. Think training opportunities, career advancement, and stability.
Making us proud this year, we’ve got local giants like Siemens scooping third place with their innovative engineering solutions. Not far behind, Henkel clinches the fourth spot with its blend of traditional values and cutting-edge technology. And let’s not forget about Bosch and their smart tech making life easier, rounding out the top 10.

Watch your speedometer

This Friday, April 19, from the crack of dawn at 6am until the same time Saturday, about 2,000 of Bavaria’s finest, including local police and traffic officials, will be monitoring a whopping 1,500 spots across Munich and broader Bavaria.
The goal of this 24 hour Blitzmarathon? Slowing down those speedy Gonzales out there.
Last year alone, 125 lives were lost on Bavarian roads due to speed-related crashes. Caught speeding up to 20 km/h over the limit in the city? That’ll be 70 euros, please. Over 70 km/h? Now you’re looking at 800 euros, two points on your license, and possibly waving goodbye to your driving privileges for a few months.
Despite the high stakes, last year's Blitz snagged more than 8,500 speedsters. And the record? A daredevil caught zooming at 155 km/h in a 60 km/h zone near Freising.
Check out where the speed traps will be set up right here and plan your routes accordingly.
