Your vote in EU elections

Ready to make your voice heard in the European elections on Sunday, June 9?

Starting today, the Wahl-o-Mat is available online to help you find your political match for the upcoming EU elections. Just answer a series of questions (38 in total) and the tool will compare your views with the election manifestos of various parties.

It's all in German, but don't worry—it's super simple to use and well worth checking out if you're still deciding whom to support. The tool is quick and easy, providing a crucial aid for those of us who find the array of political choices a bit overwhelming.

Even though not all of us are eligible to vote, we took the quiz using the handy browser translate button to see which party values we align with. Interestingly, one of the parties is actually called the PDF—yes, like the file format. Who knew that a file format could also represent political views?

Every vote counts, especially in shaping the Europe you want to live in.

Dive in and find more information here.

New routes for Munich’s S-Bahn

Save the date: It’s still a ways off, but starting December 15, 2024, the Munich S-Bahn is getting a major upgrade to improve reliability and service quality. Thanks to a collaborative effort by the Free State of Bavaria and Deutsche Bahn (DB), we're seeing the revival of the S5 line and a strategic tweak to the S7 line.

Imagine hopping on the S5 at Kreuzstraße and zipping through to Pasing or even Germering-Unterpfaffenhofen. And during peak hours? Every ten minutes, folks! Plus, the restructured S7 will now terminate above ground at Munich Central Station, avoiding the crowded main line and improving punctuality.

The changes are designed to reduce congestion on the main artery during peak times, making your ride more stable and punctual. Plus, with additional connections in Pasing, you’ve got more options than ever before.
