We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but this weekend is going to test your patience on the roads. The summer vacation traffic is ramping up big time, and if you're planning to hit the highway, you better pack some snacks and download a few extra podcasts. (We personally like My First Million.)

3 bits of news
Siemens doubles Munich factory
Siemens just opened their massive expansion in Allach and it's not just any ordinary factory upgrade.
We're talking about one of Europe's most advanced train production facilities, complete with robots, AI technology and laser-guided installation systems that sound like something out of a sci-fi movie.
Siemens dropped 250 million euros on this project and created over 500 new jobs in the process. The factory can now pump out 385 Vectron locomotives and 180 passenger cars every year.
Plus, they're moving their entire headquarters from Perlach to Allach, which means 2,500 employees will call this neighborhood home by 2028.
New Munich license plates
The county of Munich is getting its very own license plate designation, and it's as simple as it gets—MU.
After years of sharing the M plates with the city, Landkreis München finally has its own identity on the road.
Here's why this matters to you. With over 1 million vehicles already sporting M plates (766,000 in the city and 246,000 in the county), we were literally running out of letter and number combinations. The new MU plates solve that problem and give you more flexibility too.
Unlike the MUC plates that can't handle special designations, MU works perfectly with electric car E plates, historic H plates, and seasonal registrations.
You don't have to do anything if you already have an M plate. Both will work side by side, so your current registration stays valid. But if you're getting a new car or want a custom plate like MU-MM or MU-ND, you'll be able to reserve those once the county updates their computer system later this year. In short, existing M plates apply to either location, MU now applies exclusively to vehicles registered in Landkreis München, while MUC will only be used for the city.

Paketposthalle to host mini city
Mini-München, the incredible program where kids aged 7 to 15 literally run their own city, has found its new home in the Paketposthalle. After years of searching for a permanent location since losing their Olympiapark spot in 2012, this beloved summer tradition is finally settling down.
Here's what makes this so special for your family. Every other summer for three weeks, up to 2,000 children take over and create their own functioning society.
They work real jobs, earn money, vote for leaders, run businesses, and even handle city budgets. It's like a massive civics lesson wrapped in the best kind of summer camp experience.
Your kids won't just play at being adults, they'll actually experience what it means to participate in democracy.
The next Mini München will take place in 2026.

Attention Marketers and Founders Who Want to Successfully Run Facebook Ads
If you are running ads on Facebook or want to switch career to Performance marketer. I am launching a bootcamp but giving you a sneak peak with this webinar.
How to Build a Creative Strategy That Doesn’t Break at Scale
Everyone can launch a good ad.
But scaling that success? That’s where most marketers hit a wall.
It’s a predictable pattern:
Ad fatigue sets in
Creative inspiration dries up
Performance metrics start sliding
You’re stuck recycling the same tired angles
The results?
ROAS drops
CAC climbs
Panic spreads through the team
Here’s what most people miss:
This isn’t a media buying problem.
It’s not about tweaking your targeting.
It’s not even about your budget.
It’s a creative ecosystem problem.
The best marketers know that a creative strategy must be built for scale from day one.
Without a systematic approach to creative development, you’ll always hit the same wall.
The difference between campaigns that scale and those that stall isn’t luck.
It’s having a deliberate creative strategy that keeps momentum going as you grow.
Ani and I are running a free webinar to teach exactly that.
If you're a:
Performance marketer
Brand manager
In-house creative
Agency lead
Founder
This is for you.

2 upcoming events
Drones meet classical music
We're absolutely buzzing about this incredible event coming to Munich on August 14, 15 and 16. The DroneArt Show is landing at Galopprennbahn München Riem and it's unlike anything you've experienced before.
A talented string quartet playing Vivaldi's “Four Seasons” and Tchaikovsky's “Swan Lake” under thousands of flickering candles while more than 500 drones paint the night sky with synchronized light patterns.
It's a 65-minute journey where classical masterpieces come alive through cutting-edge technology. The drones don't just fly randomly either. They create birds, foxes, reindeer, and swans that dance perfectly with the music.
The show starts at 9pm, but doors open two hours early so you can grab your spot and soak in the atmosphere.
Bring blankets and jackets since it's outdoors, and don't worry about food since light snacks and drinks are available on-site. Just remember that tickets are only available through the Fever app or website, and late arrivals might not get in.

Sommernachtstraum returns
The Münchner Sommernachtstraum is celebrating its 20th anniversary on Saturday, July 19 at Olympiapark and this year's lineup is absolutely stacked.
Max Giesinger headlines the main stage with hits like “80 Millionen” and “Wenn sie tanzt,” plus brand new tracks from his upcoming album. The evening also features Iceland's Ásdís with her infectious pop-electronic beats and Nico Laska opening with emotional, honest music.
Before the main attraction, you'll enjoy festival vibes with live music on two stages, international food stands and a cozy beer garden.
Then comes the grand finale around 10pm—synchronized fireworks and light effects over Olympiasee that ranks among Germany's largest displays.
Last year, 30,000 fireworks lit up the sky for 30,000 amazed spectators.

1 new restaurant/café to try
Sorry Nonna
We stumbled upon something absolutely magical tucked away near the Ludwigsbrücke on Lilienstraße and we had to share it with you.
Sorry Nonna München is this tiny Italian gem that feels like you've stepped through a portal straight into a neighborhood trattoria in Rome. The space is intimate with just enough room for about 8 people comfortably, but that cozy atmosphere is exactly what makes it so special.
The real star here is their pinsa, which has that perfect crispy-light crust that Italians have mastered.
We're talking San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella fior di latte, and toppings that taste like they were flown in from Italy yesterday.
The Gorgonzola and tartufo combination is absolutely mind-blowing, and their homemade cakes pair perfectly with genuinely good Italian coffee.
Plus, when the weather's nice, they've got outdoor seating so you can people-watch while you eat.

📍 Lilienstraße 7, 81669 München
