The ranking is based on Google reviews and social media presence. Basically, the people have spoken.

3 bits of news
Bring your old shoes to TRETTER and get 10% off a new pair
Less than 1% of shoes get recycled globally. Most end up incinerated, even though they're packed with reusable materials. Munich shoe institution TRETTER is changing that at their flagship store on Neuhauser Straße.
Drop off any old shoes at the checkout and walk out with a 10% discount on a new pair. The shoes go to Dutch recycling specialist Fast Feet Grinded, who breaks them down into rubber, foam, leather, and textiles for reuse in new products.
It's part of Munich's push toward becoming a Zero Waste City by 2035. The campaign runs until May 31. Easier than finding matching socks in the morning. It takes two minutes.
Free train travel across Europe and all you need is to be turning 18
DiscoverEU is an Erasmus+ program that hands 18-year-olds a free rail pass to explore Europe. Applications opened April 8 and closes April 22 at noon – and you need to be born between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008 to qualify. You also get a discount card for accommodation, transport, and culture along the way.
You can travel solo or with up to four friends, for up to 7 days within a month. The travel window runs from July 2026 to September 2027, giving you plenty of time to plan something good.
One catch: there's a short quiz in the application. Easiest exam you'll ever take for a FREE InterRail pass. The page is available in multiple languages.

66 proposals to fix Germany's healthcare and what it means for you
Germany's statutory health insurance system is heading for a €10 billion annual deficit from 2027. A government-appointed commission just dropped 66 cost-cutting proposals to plug the gap. Some of them will hit your wallet directly.
The biggest ones: free spousal health insurance coverage could end – affected spouses would pay €225 per month instead. Copayments for prescriptions and hospital stays could rise by 50%. Sick pay after six weeks could drop from 70% to 65% of your salary.
Some services may be scrapped entirely – homeopathic prescriptions and medical cannabis reimbursements among them. Nothing is law yet. Health Minister Warken plans to draft changes by the end of July.
