Youths take to the polls
February is shaping up to be a big month for young voices in politics. For one week starting Friday, February 7, the U18 Bundestag election will give those under 18 the chance to explore democracy and cast their symbolic votes.
While the results aren’t official, they’re a powerful way to show what matters to the next generation.
Local initiatives are setting up voluntary polling stations and there’s still time to join the movement. If you’re part of a neutral group, an organization, or just want to support political education, this is your chance to get involved.
It’s a great way for younger voices to share their opinions and learn about civic engagement.
All minors in Germany can vote, regardless of citizenship—no exceptions.

Munich Car Days 2025 hits the brakes
Big news, car enthusiasts: Munich Car Days 2025 has been canceled. According to the organizers, ongoing challenges in the car market have made it difficult to bring this popular event to life this year.
The decision comes as a surprise, especially given the success of last year’s event, which saw 28 brands and showcased more than 200 different vehicles.
This cancellation is a major shift for Bavaria’s biggest travel and leisure fair, f.re.e, happening Wednesday, February 19 through Sunday the 23rd at the Munich Exhibition Center in Riem. The Munich Car Days have typically run alongside f.re.e, giving visitors a chance to explore cars from sports to family models, compare options, and even take test drives—all under one roof.
Even without the Car Days, the f.re.e fair promises to deliver.
It remains Bavaria’s premier event for all things travel and leisure. With more than 140,000 visitors last year, it’s still the go-to destination for anyone seeking adventure inspiration.
